I'm working very hard, and killing many brain cells with the new version of GolfStats. This one will blow away the old system and has many new and awesome features. Today I put the finishing touches on the system's ability to calculate the user's USGA handicap index, based on up to the last 20 rounds. It has taken me a coupe of hard, brain draining days. For those of you in the UK or Europe, the next step is the ablity to track COGNU handicaps.
One cool new feature in the new version of GolfStats is the settings panel. In there the user can customize the kind of tracking he/she wants to do. Very basic golf scores and golf handicapping via USGA or COGNU (others possible later) can be selected, or the full and mind blowing golf stats tracking can be selected. Full stats tracks everything: ball striking, putting, scoring, hazards, bets... Heck, it may even predict the weather and scores of future sporting events.
Once I have the COGNU system running, I have some more work to do on the ADD/EDIT round portion of GolfStats. Once that is done I'll get it up and running here for a maiden voyage. The problem, is that with each new feature I install, a whole pandora's box of possibilities and complexities opens up.
