Since moving to the new dedicated server, I'm able (or allowed) to send
out emails and/or private messages to all members. This will be great
for announcements, newsletters etc. These announcements serve to
remind some members we're still around and that they should drop by and
get up to date with their profiles, friends and the latest in The Golf
Space.
New record for most members online: 217
I sent out a private message to all members about the upcoming
fantasy golf season. Within the first day the site was packed with
members. We set an all time record for online members at 217 at once!
I don't want to spam members by sending out these mailings
constantly, but I do think it is good to send out one per week or one
every couple of weeks. At a minimum once per month.
This week TGS also recorded its 3800th member!
