It starts with an increasing bad workday, so I decide to eat at the keyboard and take my 30 minute break outside. Working from home does have some benefits, so I decided to sharpen the blades on my lawn mower. Most can already see where this is going. I was fuming over some work related stupidity and should have known better, but grabbed a wrench anyway. After securing the blade to keep it from spinning while removing the nut, applied ample pressure and *slip*, I have a new laceration. At least getting outside helped relieve today's stress. :P To the bone, let me tell you, on my left hand, top side, middle finger, just about the full length of my proximal bone. Glad to say, at this point in time, it appears the only damage sustained is the cut itself. Close but no stitches, just a supply butterfly bandages, no-stick gauze and some sodium chloride rinse. I don't need to be abusing my wound for several days, have to allow time for healing, and needless to say, this has put a stop to my golf practice time in the backyard. Life is kicking hard this month, maybe it's time to seek a new path. Play well, everyone.
