The Golf Space Moves To New Server |

As many of you are likely aware, The Golf Space was down for about 14 hours today. Unfortunately, Hooked On Golf Blog & The Golf Space were on the same server and both accounts were suspended due to them using "too much cpu power." This is the 2nd time this has happened without warning and obviously I had to do something about it. To make things even more frustrating and irritating, this happened during the U.S. Open playoff between Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate. I wanted to just watch the match but ended up only watching the last three holes today.
No longer joined at the hip
I moved HOG and TGS to two new and separate servers so that if one site goes down it won't take the other one down with it. I'm "testing" the current service providers to see if I'll keep the sites in their prospective locations for the immediate future.
I'll be also separating the way both sites handle files. Both sites shared many files and images. They're going to be two completely resource independent entities from now on.
I've been in absolute HELL getting all the thousands of files transferred. It took me nearly 15 hours to get it done and I'm sure there will be some bugs. The main bugs will be missing images. I'll try to replace them as I can, but recoding all the thousands of articles is a job which will likely never be completed.
Once again I apologize for the inconvenience but these are growing pains, which are a good sign.
