Jim Dillman carded the low score with an 8-under 64 in the B flight of Twin Oaks Men’s GC's weekly match on May 7. Club members played six holes of two-man best ball, six holes of alternate shot and six holes of scramble. Mike Doherty came in second with a 67 and Don Borgschulte finished third with a 70.
Walt Mason claimed the low score in the A flight with a 67, winning a tiebreaker with Duane Roman. George Border took third place with a 69. Jeff Furbush, Jim Waldruf, Russell Friesen and Doherty each won $26 for landing the ball closest to the pin.

- Dan Cotton of Encinitas Ranch Men’s GC fired a 10-under 62 for the lowest score of the week in the B flight of Wednesday Sweeps on May 7. Mike Cameron carded the next lowest score with a 67. Brian Moerer and Daniel Christ both shot 69 for a share of third place. Mike Davis led the A flight with his 66, followed by Brian Gable and Gus Mokalis with 70 and 71, respectively.
- Ron Frederick wrangled into first place of the A flight with an even par-71 in the Temeku Hills Men’s GC weekly match on May 7. Zach Reeves and Rod Sweet recorded 73s, tying for second. The B flight winner was Earl Oakes with a 69. Third place went to Denny Phifer, who logged a 74. Bruce Worley’s 83 was the lowest gross score in the B flight.
- Michael Benton and Jeff Cain reigned as the top tandem at the Torrey Pines Municipal Golf Club Thursday tournament at the par-72 course. Benton and Cain brought in a 63 in the two-player better ball competition.
