Round 6, 2008 E-mail

Not a good golfing day for me, my ball striking has gone awry again.  I could not hit any second shot with any amount of consistency, and forget any other shot from that point forward, until it rolled up onto the green.  This past two weeks without any practice has caught up.  Going to make a commitment to get to the range every day this week, no choices, work will just have to wait.

Not to mention my slice has come back, no doubt from lack of practice.  Had only three somewhat straight drives, and one of those was a provisional, after a slice into the woods.  Even with 20-30 mph winds today, I'm not pleased with my efforts today.  And putting, good grief, a complete melt down there, more three putts than you can shake a stick at.  Tempo was off and I couldn't seem to get that dialed in, well, until the last hole of course.

Had to play the course backwards, so to speak, due to debris from last night's thunderstorm and the 2 inches of rain had the front nine needed lots of cleanup.  Anyway, at the 9th tee, I'm tired from fighting the wind, just decided to smooth tempo swing a 3-wood and hit a slight fade just past the 150 yard marker.  Then pulled out the 7-iron, again just a smooth swing and another slight fade.  Came up 20 feet short of the front of the green, took too much off that one.  Cooked a chip shot 20 feet past the flag, and 2 putted.

Play well, everyone.
