Ended up walking with 2 others for the front nine. One was using a skycaddie, was nice to see one of those in action. Was grateful, as he did prove that the course markers are accurate to the middle of the green. There was only one bright spot on the front nine, a chip-in birdie on the 6th, from about 10 feet off the front of the green, sweet. Decided to go straight to the tenth tee, instead of stopping and eating my sandwich and snack, and this turned out to be a bad thing. I chose to eat as I walk down the 10th fairway, and felt good physically until 13th tee. I didn't hydrate properly during the front nine and I was starting to feel the effects. Even with my favorite sports drink and plenty of water refills along the way, I was running at about 80%. It got to the point I wasn't focusing on the current shot, but counting down holes left to play. And with the way the summer's get around here, I've got to keep way better tabs on this from now on, yikes. Overall, not a bad round of golf, just learning more things that need to be focused on during practice. Play well, everyone.
