Yesterday I had to quit after nine holes because my hand hurt so bad.  The pain was going into my thumb and I could hardly hold the club.   I was extremely unhappy, going home in the middle of my league round.

Fast forward to this morning and I don't feel that bump in my joint anymore.  The area isn't in pain and it's not sensitive to touch anymore.  I think the cyst popped and perhaps playing that nine holes last night was when it popped, thus the area pain.

I hope this is the end of this stage in my golf world.  I have no desire to be fighting off injuries.  The damn game is hard enough to play well when I'm healthy.
