Repost of my MySpace blog of my Sunday round E-mail

Last Sunday I went golfing at Gresham Golf Course with a coworker. Since Jeff was pressed for time, we decided to just do a round of 9 holes. We chose the back 9 since there were a few people scheduled to tee off the front 9 before us.

The first hole (actually 10) was my best....even though it was a double bogey, I think I did pretty well for a beginner. I only had to put once on that green, but on the way I lost 1 ball.

Fast forward a few holes, shooting double par on each and losing more balls into either the brush or a water hazard. I had a couple really good drives and about the same amount of good iron shots.

Anyway, we really didn't shoot the entire 9 holes because halfway through the 18th, it started hailing like a mutha (you know). That hail was falling fast and hard and we didn't have any rain gear or umbrellas. Go figure...two Oregonians without the fundamentals of living in good 'ole Oregon.

We left the 18th soaking wet (him more than me), but we had a crap load of fun while out there.

Here's the scores from Blue tee:
(mental note: usually where it shows I made double over Par, I actually had a few more shots over that, but evidently, I learned that day that you can't score more than double...so yay for me!)

10)
Yards: 285
Par: 4
Me: 6
Him: 5

11)
Yards: 498

*sigh* I need a LOT of practice and instruction!
