Torrey Pines overtook Cathedral Catholic in the rankings by virtue
of strength of schedule. The Falcons picked up two wins last week, holding on for a one-stroke victory over San Clemente and downing Rancho Buena Vista by 12 shots. Cathedral Catholic did pick up a win, but the victory came against the Western League’s University City. San Pasqual split its matches last week and moved up, losing to higher-ranked Torrey Pines and beating Orange Glen. The Eagles still hold a slight edge over Ramona in the Valley League standings despite the Bulldogs carding wins over Valley Center and Mission Hills. El Camino and Rancho Buena Vista occupy the one and two spots in the Avocado League standings. El Camino earned two wins last week to move up in the polls as did RBV after scoring three wins. Mater Dei and Hilltop cracked the top 10 for the first time as they battle for South Bay League supremacy, and Patrick Henry squeaked in with three wins last week as well.
