The Game: Harvard-Yale FootballPosted by readygolfer in Untagged |
This weekend it's football, not golf.
I'm going to the 124th Harvard-Yale game on Saturday. I've lived in CT for more than 20 years and my house is only a driver, three wood, and four iron from the Yale Bowl, so it's about time.
The Elis from Yale have a chance to go undefeated and win their second Ivy League title in two years if they beat the Harvard Crimson. The Yale quarterback, Matt Polhemus, is the son of a friend-of-a-friend, so that will make the game even more exciting. The kid's a winna'.
Yale expects to fill their recently refurbished Bowl. Capacity is 61,446. HDN will televise the game nationally. Give me a shout if you see me. I'll be the one drinking a Diet Coke. Really. The parking lots open at 9am so I expect there will be no shortage of Ivy Leaguers making fools of themselves.
Finally, Bush 41 will parachute onto the field at halftime. Just kidding.
It's gonna be crazy fun. Film at 11.
