New Season, New GamePosted by cdman in Untagged |
Well this 2008 season has been off to a great start for me. Had my first consecutive games within 4 strokes of one another. Last year i was a reall erotic driver so it made it harder to be consistant. I spent a lot of last month(January) working on my wood swing. Thus far it proved to be useful as I am getting better contact and a faster swing. That better contact however, is on my driver and not my 3 or 5(probably work on those this month).
I had my putter bent last month. Before being bent, I had a lot of difficulty putting(constantly 3 putting). After being bent down 5 degrees(yes 5) I am more consistanly 1 to 2 putting everything with an ocasional bad hole.
Accuracy....Is probably the worst part of my game at the present time. I guess that will just come along as I play more this season.
Oh well, back to school I guess. Hopefully they never block your site Tony.

Hey Chris, After reading your post I couldn't help but send you a suggestion regarding your 3 and 5 wood. The most common mistake with these clubs is ball position when hitting these woods off of the ground. Make sure your ball position with your 3 and 5 wood is just front of center a lot of people place the ball too far forward in their stance when using these woods. Secondly, make sure that your swing is a sweeping swing with a solid shoulder turn that will help your ball striking. Good luck! Mike Brabenec, PGA Golftalkradio.com |
