Round 9, 2008

Today was one of those days where I wasn't 100% physically ready, but played anyway thinking I could work through this.  Took only 15 holes to work through the physical weirdness and manage to play the last 3 holes fairly decent.  Well, expect for the approach shot I put into the green side bunker on 18.

I must say that I've developed a very wicked hook with my driver, a hook can you believe, which I've never had to deal in my golfing experience.  Will be putting in some very serious time at the range to determine if my swing plane is the cause of this or an over-rotation of the trailing wrist or something completely different.  And I was also having similar results with my fairway woods.

As you can imagine, having stray drives surely affects your approach shot choices.  With most of mine being lay-ups for a chip shot, or very long approaches.  This made my day of golf a scramble for finding the greens.  I now gotten to where I have momentary bursts of good golf, and need to work on turning that into elongated stretches.

Oh well, at the rate I keep "tweaking" my swing, I suspect that will take another season of quality rounds of golf before I can obtain that goal.  But, as all things golf go, one never knows, and I shall continue at the range and weekend rounds.

Play well, everyone.
