This morning I made a hole-in-one on the 12th hole of my home course, Laurel View Country Club in Hamden, CT. I hit a seven iron from 159 yards. This is the second ace of my unheralded golf career. The bar bill was only $113.

Tomorrow I'm playing Yale University's golf course, which is ranked the number one college course in the country. It's an old-school layout with rolling terrain, narrow fairways, deep bunkers and some blind shots. The 238 yard par three ninth hole has an eight foot deep "trench" that divides the green in two. I'll bring my camera and try to post some pictures.

Memorable Golf Moment

I've had lots of great times on the golf course with my family and friends, but one of my favorite golf moments occurred while I was in Salt Lake City on a business trip about 10 years ago. Before a flight home I decided to play 18 at Wingpointe Golf Course, which is an outstanding links layout on the grounds of the SLC airport. From some of the holes you can see the passengers in the planes waving as they take off and land.

It was a beautiful morning. I had a great warm-up on the ran [...]

Last summer Tour Links joined America Supports You, a nationwide Department of Defense program that showcases American's support for the men and women of the armed forces. As part of this initiative, Tour Links distributed Tour Links Putting Greens to U.S. troops throughout Iraq and Afghanistan.

Tour Links President Dave Barlow hopes the putting greens will provide relaxation to troops enduring the extreme conditions in the Middle East.
