Golf goes on with or without 'Tigger'...

The Open and the PGA were great contests this year after Tigger had to pull out and now we've just witnessed a wonderful Ryder Cup, certainly one of the best played, by two excellent teams that played some astonishing golf over a course that stood up to the test. Great victory for the USA and a match that will long remain in the memory.

Tigger will be back next year, let us enjoy watching the best golfers attempt to make inroads into his lead in the World Rankings. Great stuff ahead.

I rather enjoyed a Tigerless Ryder Cup...and I imagine all members of both sides did too. Tiger sucks up the energy in any event...not that he personally intends such, but the media, the fans, the sponsors, the PGA, can think or do much more that bow to his "greatness".

His absence freed up all that energy to be joyfully used by the US team and as a result we saw an entirely different atmosphere at least on the US side. And let us not forget all the Booo's the US side got...it was a great event!

No Fluke, the majority of the team played GREAT, I think they would have even done better without Mickelson on the team. Next time out he should get the boot. Except for his matches with Kim he played like a dog!
