What are you taking about mate? Where did the message announcing you had a personal message originate? What makes you say this site seems dead? What site ownere has spammed you?

Please post the message. Perhaps someone has hacked the email system or perhaps you did receive a pm.

After hitting "reply" in this forum there's a box at the bottom of the message which may be checked called "subscribe" which is followed by the text "Check this box to have yourself notified about replies to this topic." If that is checked, then you are "notified" via email that someone has responded to your forum post. Emails come from "Tony" (me) as I'm the administrator of the site. I'm not personally sending you an email or spam. It is simply a function of the site. This is standard in all forums. This is not nonsense and you can uncheck it if you do not wish to receive these notifications.

Before you accuse someone of spamming please make sure you are aware of the site functions and have them set properly for your preferences.

If you receive an email saying you have "private messages" that is the "mail" system here. Check your messages by clicking on "mail / in box" in the user menu at the top, as some other TGS member may have written you a note. If you don't wish to be notified of new mail messages, go to the mail menu and select the sub-menu "mail settings" and turn off mail notifications.
