I'm working on a new template for the site which will likely be fixed and not fluid. This means the width will be one size, rather than scalable. This will make it much easier for me to know how things look and be able to make sure all pages display nicely here.

I'm deciding how wide to make the fixed page so I'd like to know members' monitor sizes.

A standard 15" is probably 1024 x 786 pixels
17" probably 1280 x 1024 pixels...

On a pc in windows you can go into your monitors control panel and see your monitor resolution in there.
On the mac you can go into your monitors setting under system preferences.

At home and at work, I have a setting of 1024x768. And, I have 22" screens at both locations.

I'm currently running 1024x768.

I have a 15", 17" and a projector screen with setting at 1280X800.

I do use the 17", that is the size of my laptop screen.

15" Dell Laptop D600...we are getting newer ones this year but the monitor size should stay the same. I travel too much and don't want anything big and bulky...

I have a 19" gateway LCD running at a resolution of 1280 x 800.

That setting is not on your poll choices though.
