Need advice for buying clubs this Christmas? 9 Months, 1 Week ago
Ok here is my plan:
I am going to Scotland on the 20th dec to buy golf clubs. Its cheaper there than here in Norway I am looking for Taylor Mades and preferably hybrids. Graphite 3,5,7. I tried taylor mades earlier and was very impressed with them. I need hybrids mostly for health reasons. I am not aware of what you all may consider to be a better equivelent? I have been playing since 2005 so I am not your avarage pro. Not yet anyway

Any advice comments links to check out would be appreciated?

I would sujest you try hitting sevral type of brands and models. Go with the set that feels right to you and just do not look at the brand name. Go by feel of the clubs in your hand that you are hitting. God know how I did not like ping, But I own a set now. They were the one that felt great when I hit them. So you never know what club are correct for you, until you hit them.

So try all the set and make that they sell. Then pick the one that fits your game. Everone has clubs they like, but every one has a different feel for their club also.

Good luck on find you Ace Clubs,

I really like the Cobra Baffler hybrids, I was never a big hybrid person until I was given this one and loved it. How expensive are clubs in Norway? I know the Norwegian Kroner is trading for 11 kroners per pound. Being from the US and over in Scotland in the summer I noticed that everything was much more expensive and that was with a $2.06 per pound. I remember seeing a set of Callaway X-Forged for 750 pounds or $1542. In comparison that equals 8,572.82 kroner. Is it cheaper because Norway has higher tarrifs or taxes?

Norway is not cheaper. Not even close. Your cheap run of the mill half sets start at Kr:5000 The sad thing is that there are more club pro shops and hardly any golf sports shops. As you know club pro shops are more expensive. I saw a caloway 460xfor Kr:4000 (USD:723.560)and saw the same club on the internet new for Kr:3000. Also the harder it is to get a particular club, the more expensive it is. There is a brand in the US called snakehead. You cannot get them in GB, But in Norway you can get them if you pay almost double the USD price. I buy precous little here on the golf front.
