AMK, the reason you lose those Pro Vs on bad hits is because they spin like crazy and any miss hits is going to make it worse. I had a buddy that tried the new Top Flite Freak, he swears by them. Says he is hitting it longer than ever.

Agree with you on Pro V1 distance off the tee. There are plenty of two piece balls that will give most of us more D off the tee but alas that comes with a price. Nothing comes close to the controlled stopping power of a Pro V1 on the green (except for an HX Tour). As far as spin, I also agree that the Pro V1 will spin more than the average two piece but there are some 3 piece premium balls out there that have insane spin rates around the green (ie. Hogan Tour Deep).

I know. My golfing buddy,s keep saying the same, But when we play together they cannot figure out why? Me neither? At work today one said to me that maybe I should lossen up a little, But when I do that then I slice more.
