I get a lot of golf gear to test for my blog and for TGS articles. Some clubs I may play a couple of rounds with and then put them in my garage. That makes them used clubs, but they're practically brand new. I give some of them to my son or to my golf pals.

Is it cool too offer these "lightly used" clubs as prizes or is the fact that they've been hit a few times a problem?

One thing you can do is to "pass them around"... once you've tested it offer it to someone else to test and they then post their opinions... that person then passes it on the next TGS member interested. Set a limit as to how many people will try and post opinions. Those people will obviously need to be willing to provide their address and be willing to pay shipping when it's their turn to pass it on. Posting a review should also be mandatory and some sort of set format created. You can then do a random drawing of all who tried and the winner gets the item (last person who tries ships it).

That is a novel idea indeed. You can also look to your local Junior Golf program (First Tee, Junior PGA, Junior High / High School, etc.).

Actually I already have been giving some equipment to junior golfers as well!
