Tony, your TGS site is a wonderful success and it therefore may become open to slight abuse from the ever increasing numbers that join up to it.

I hope you find a good solution to the \'Blog\' problem. There have certainly been some good suggestions posted from members.

I believe that the TGS Blog should be about personal musings or information on the game of golf that you would wish to share with some mates and therefore further afield through your site.

Cheers, John.

Ok I tried to not post this and it will probley cause some ruckus.
The thing that is not being told to you all here and some may know this already is that most forums and message board and social networks are just affiliate networks. Trying to get money from adsense and the banner adds, the network is just bait, the forum is also just bait to bring you in. Now anyone putting links is competition which would take a customer away its like advertising Burger King in a McDonald\'s as an example. Now the link poster is just trying to get a back link to there said site and really nothing more, others are not and that is the blatant spam that you have a problem with.

Yes absolutely willard. I just read a blog post which had three backlinks to \"product\" and if you look at the URL there are embedded affiliate codes.

For instance www.thegolfspace.com in the destination URL would be ok, but www.thegolfspace.com/aff=23497prg=50240-id340 or some gibberish like that is obviously an affiliate code.

Another obvious recent spam was a link to what looked like a blog which had about 500 ads on one page. google ads everywhere.
