Blog entry question 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Hi Tony, I have a question / possible bug report regarding blog posts. I created a test post and selected
\'unpublished\' and \'no one\' for the attributes, and the entry appears to have vanished. I was assuming that selecting \'no one\' would make the blog entry visible to no one but me, but it might be hiding it for everyone, including myself. Not a big deal at all, like I said it was just a test post, but I thought I\'d mention it anyway. Thanks.

The no one thing is confusing... Are you trying to make a private post?

It looks like your post was \"checked out\" which means it wasn\'t saved. If you are editing a blog you either have to save or cancel it. If you just exit the page it will never be \"checked in\"...

Re:Blog entry question 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Sorry for being a bit vague. I\'d been thinking about using the blog functionality of the site to keep a private golf journal for myself, so I figured I\'d make the posts unpublished and set the visibility to \'no one\' (as opposed to \'everyone\' and \'only registered\'. I hit \'save blog entry\' and get the \"the blog entry has been saved\" message. But the post doesn\'t appear in the blog entries page. Same thing if I select \'archived\' (it doesn\'t appear in the archived entries list), but if I create an entry that\'s unpublished but available to registered users, I can see it in the list. So I\'m thinking that setting the visibility to \'no one\' really does make it invisible to everyone, including the post creator?

I\'d like to use the blog feature for a similar purpose so I\'m wondering if this has been resolved. Also, is there any way just to share with connections? That way I can let my friends see it but not \"everyone\" or everyone who is registered at the site.

Thanks for any help!

I\'ll have to play around with that and take a look. Doe the \"no one\" posts show up in your blog listing in your profile?
