Golf Courses - What Information Is Important? 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
As we continue to build out our golf course guide I want to make sure that we are providing golfers with the information that they are looking for.
My question is or more appropriatly my questions are; What are the things that you want to know about a golf course when you are looking for recommendation on good courses to play? What are the important features? What would you need to see to make you say \"I would really like to play this course\"?
What could we do to make our course guide a better resource?
Currently in a course listing we provide:
- brief course description
- 2 course photos
- number of tees and yardage
- course designer
- year course opened
- basic contact info

Thanks Tony .. I\'ll take a closer look at the site. See if there are things we may want to incorporate. Our main goals are to make our guide easy to navigate, present information in clear manner, have relevant information, be a trusted source. We are really just trying to provide info on \"better courses\". Obviously you have the top rated, by the major publications courses but there are hundreds of courses that are of the quality of the \"usual suspects\" in those top 100 lists but they just don\'t have the big budgets to match the heavy hitters. We really want to dig out those lesser known \"local favorites\" and give them a voice.
Thanks again for the info.
If you have any favorites courses of your own that are in your local area, that people from outsitde the area or state would have little chance of knowing about send them over to me and we will add them to our list.
