Grounding A Club? 1 Year, 2 Months ago

When playing in a tournament a couple weeks ago, i was in the water hazard hitting out much like Woody did during the presidents cup this weekend. Watching Woody Allen Hit got my mind going, when the water hazard is marked as a lateral hazard(red stakes/line) like most are, are you allowed to break the pane of the water, or is that considered grounding your club? Does anyone know?

Post edited by: CCCgolf09, at: 2007/09/30 03:00

I think you meant Woody AUSTIN. I do believe you can't let the club touch the water but you can go to the USGA's site online and read the rules to be sure.

Yes, Austin i am not sure why i said allen in the first place good catch.
I looked it up and it states that the grounding of a club applies to such water hazards and the water becomes the unbreakable plane

Post edited by: CCCgolf09, at: 2007/09/30 05:57
