Made in USA? 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago
It seems like everything found in the stores today has the "Made in China" label affixed. I believe Ping clubs are made (not just assembled) in the USA. Does anyone out there know of any other brands completely manufactured in America?

Not off the top of my head. Many are "designed" in the USA....

Hey, the way the dollar is weakening the USA will be the next China. Pretty soon all that cheap labor and manufacturing will be right in your back yard. Hell, BMW has moved a huge manufacturing division to the USA because the labor is so much cheaper for them.

I'm a Ping user and they are definitely made in the U.S.A....right here in Phoenix, AZ. Taking a tour of the plant soon.

Many of my Manufacturing Clients have told me the same thing....they have been "forced" to go overseas to China. Sadly enough, I think soon you will not be able to find too many products made in the great U.S. of A.

Many are "Assembled" in the USA too.

It's hurting us in the long run to keep going overseas I know this. I also know that if China decided to pull all of their interests out of this Country we would be screwed. Like Great Depression screwed, but at the same time, I can't fault someone for trying to save a buck. This is a capitalist society, more for me, less for you, and if someone who had worked hard enough to make a ton of money doing what they do, and then find ways to save a few more bucks to increase their bottom line, then I have no problem with that.

People need to back off the big oil companies too. It's costing them more as well. If you actually look at the numbers, their profit margins have stayed the same over the years. They are not making "more" money per say. Their revenues are up, but so is the cost for them to do business as well. They are not "screwing" anyone.

There are a lot of things we could do to help lower the burden of the high gas prices, such as oil we could be drilling for, but wont because we may damage the pretty Alaska scenery that hardly anyone actually goes to see. Or, drilling off the coast of California. There is a ton of oil out there, and if we keep letting the tree huggers tell people that "no, you can't drill there" then people need to quit complaining about how high gas prices are. Oh, global warming is a sham too. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Back to the topic at hand, it would be great if we could stop pricing ourselves out of doing business within our own borders, but I don't see that happening any time soon.

The tree huggers also won't let us build any more refineries. So our capacity to refine the oil hasn't increased with the demand, also making the price go up. And yes, there are many who say that global warming is a farce and I agree. The earth's temp hasn't changed in about 10 years and in my area we just had the 5th coldest winter in our recorded history. Warming? yeah... But the earth's temp never stays the same anyway. It's always going up and down and it would be doing that wether or not we little humans were here driving our SUV's... That's the nature of the planet.

Since this last winter I'm the lead and founder of a new organization:

"Golfers for global warming"

Living in the northeast and with it spitting snow again today, I would be one of the first to join the "Golfers for Global Warming" organization.
