How do you clean your clubs/grips? 10 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Anyone have a great technique to clean their clubs and/or their grips.

I have been using water and a towel on my club heads (simple, but it works) but haven't yet touched my grips.

A friend tells me he uses soap and sand paper but I don't trust it - anyone clean their grips - and if so, how?

The best thing is an old tooth brush (or your roomies) and warm soapy water. It will bring the tackiness back to the grips right away.

I play the Winn DSI grips ... and have had good success with damp cloth and dry towel ... Brings back the tackiness ... I have heard of using small amount of rubbing alcohol and dry cloth ... I would forget the sandpaper .... Good Luck

There are actually products out there for cleaning grips. I used one once and my old crappy grips felt like new. They don't last as long after the cleaning though but you can still milk more time out of them.

The problem I have is that I use Winn W5's and I actually wear them out before I need to clean them!

I have talked with several Golfers who have the same problem ... the grip wears before they need a good cleaning ...
