Preparing for HOG SPACE FANTASY GOLF 2008 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I’m getting ready for the 2008 version of HOG SPACE FANTASY GOLF!

WHERE?

Right now I’m trying to decide on the best location to host the league, Yahoo, ESPN or wherever. Give me your input now! The main requirements are that the league is FREE and hopefully doesn’t have a limit to the number of players. Yahoo is fine but we had to host two leagues last year since the size limit was 50. I imagine we can get between 100-200 teams this year.

NOW ACCEPTING SPONSORS

I’m also now going to start shopping for sponsors. I need a big grand prize, or maybe several prizes as a package for first place. Previous sponsors have included Taylormade, Nicklaus Golf, Green Friendly, GRIP, ALPHA, Callaway and many more.

I’ll also need many other big prizes for 1st half, 2nd half, 2nd-3rd-4th place etc. If we do ESPN’s league there are four quarters so we’d have a prize for the winner of each quarter.

Also I’ll need weekly prizes. This time though, I’m going to require that companies submitting weekly (and possibly all prizes) send them in first. I had problems with two companies not providing prizes and receiving a whole season’s worth of publicity for nothing. Fortunately some other prizes became available and some people never claimed their prizes.

SUGGESTIONS?

If you have suggestions or want to help out, let me know.<br><br>Post edited by: Tony, at: 2007/12/02 18:33

I'm in and depending on what prizes you want I might be able to help with something. Just let me know what you think you want for prizes....

Tony,

I found a site you may want to contact. You have to email them with your question. http://www.bullysports.com/bully/Golf/GolfHome.htm?s=EsoBsThBH_20328472&amp;v=1 http://www.foreleagues.com/default.asp

this site does have a cost, But hear is my idea. Ever one that want like to play, Lets say pays $10.00, take setting up cost for the leage out and the rest goes for gilf card or to purchase the prize. This is only an Idea to have the leage.

Well once again the main criteria is that the league is FREE. No member of TGS has had to pay one cent for anything here and I'm not about to change that. As far as the dough covering the prizes, prizes are &quot;donated&quot; by sponsors in exchange for some exposure.
