Who has/does uses a Golf Fitness Program? 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago  
About 3-4 weeks ago I started a golf fitness program and feel I have reaped a lot of benefits already. My trainer at th gym set it up for me. I'm currently doing 2 days a week and trying to practice 3 days a week. Who else has tried a golf fitness program? Do you do the same routine year around or do you change periodically through the year? If you have a program, how many days per week do you train?

Ok, I got crickets on this topic. Conclusion: Golfers and fitness don't mix.

I will continue my program regardless. I've lost 30 lbs this year feel like my slice is now a fade or right down the middle. I have not had lessons nor a ton of practice, so therefore I'm giving my workout program all the credit.

There are a few resident "golf fitness" guys here. Search for articles here by Anthony Renna and there'll be a bunch of good stuff for you.

Just started one myself. Found several good books at Barnes & Noble that focus mainly on core / multi joint exercises for time at the gym.

My 'at work' plan also incorporates spending a good portion of time each day stretching and skipping the elevator (unless I'm carrying large items). Lastly, slip in a 15 - 20 minute nap at mid day (just one rem cycle).

I do one sit up a day (when I get out of bed) and one reverse sit up a day (goodnight)....Seriously...Stretch and drink lots of water...treat your body good and it will treat you good.
