I am a nurse who enjoys volunteering in ways to make a difference in other peoples' lives. I walk the Breast Cancer 3-Day 60-Mile event each year to raise awareness and money in hopes of finding a cure for breast cancer. Every June, I along with a few friends host a charity golf tournament "TEE IT UP FOR TA TA'S" in Phoenix, Arizona. We are proud to say that we have raised over $100,000 since 2005. My mother in law is currently in the fight of her life ~ battling metastatic breast cancer. I walk so that other families will some day not have to endure the pain that this disease brings. |
